Hey Sandi! I’ll be posting a new Chicken Update soon – lots of details to add – but thought this would be cute. I was recently watching some farm videos posted by Stonyfield, pigs foraging, stacking wood, etc. and enjoyed them. It inspired me!

Bobbie is my buddy. She likes to follow me around and they all LOVE pecking at my rings. Funny how my daughters gave all these hens boy names – Bobbie, Charlie, Fred (may she RIP). Love my chickens!

    Happy weekend, friend!

  3. Oh, gosh, they’re just so beautiful. Growing up, my neighbor always let her chickens have their run of the farm, and it always seemed so wonderful and quaint to me. I sure wish I could come take glamor shots of yours!

I love letting them free range, though having lost 2 to that hawk am pretty vigilant in watching them. PS: Whenever you make it up here to Maine, you’ve got a date w/ the chickens!

Cute! Love those ladies! (And I don’t like going out in the snow either.. haha)

  6. I would guess that a chicken with warm feet would be a happy chicken indeed!
Great video, Dishy! I really enjoyed this!
    :)

HF, If I didn’t have shoes, you can bet your sweet bippy I’d be inside, in front of the fire, from September till June. Thank GOD for shoes!!!

Thanks Inky! The chickens send their lurve.
