Friends, meet my new cookbook!
The DASH Diet 30-Minute Cookbook by Adams Media. In just a few weeks I should be finished the final edits, and from there it goes into publication, arriving online and in bookstores by early July.
This book is a revision of the Everything DASH Diet Cookbook, with an emphasis on speed, ease, and convenience. Having read reviews of the last book, I made sure to exclude recipes with harder-to-find ingredients, focusing instead on everyday favorites that can be enjoyed again and again. There are fewer recipes in this new book – just 175 – but all types of dishes are included, from breakfast, to soups and salads, sandwiches, main meals (both meat and veg), and of course desserts. Of the 175 recipes, 30 are new; the remainder are favorites from the last book. A fresh introduction explains the virtues of the DASH diet, the science behind it, and tips for a successful transition.
This project has been fun and hopefully will prove helpful, especially to those new to the DASH diet. I will be offering a free giveaway this summer, as well as selling signed copies here on the site. For diehard fans, copies of the DASH DIET 30-Minute Cookbook can be pre-ordered on Amazon.
I’ve written a second book to help make life easier for DASH dieters, not to double-dip. If you already own the Everything book, wait for publication before purchase. Thumb through and decide if the revised format and new recipes are worth the investment. This is a new book – a good book! But it is a revision. That said, I’m really looking forward to its publication. A fast, easy cookbook full of my favorite recipes? Yes, please. :)
