One of the upsides of moving is having a whole new world of food to explore. So in between unpacking, I’ve spent some time visiting local supermarkets. Portland is home to two large regional chains, Hannaford and Shaw’s, as well as Whole Foods. Coming from Philly, where we had roughly ten large chains to choose from, this is a change. But I’ve been thoroughly impressed w/ the selection here, particularly the large organic food section at Hannaford. When I spied these dressings there last week, I knew I had to try them out. As you can see from the photo above, DREW’S DRESSINGS light up my pantry. The good news: They’re as beautiful as they are tasty. Better yet: LOW SODIUM. That’s right - at least five of the 15 varieties have less than 75 mg per serving - Rosemary Balsamic, Roasted Garlic & Peppercorn, Shitake Ginger, Smoked Tomato, and Thai Sesame Lime. And the best news yet: Only $2.99 a bottle. WOW. SO. Now that warm weather is upon us (I keep telling myself this anyway), and salads will once again be taking center stage, there’s no reason NOT to try these for yourself. Hi Christy!
I’m so glad you’ve discovered Drew’s! We do have that brand in Philly (Whole Foods), and I am a fan because so many flavors come without onion & garlic!
Roz (www.stellargirl.com) mentioned you tonight when I told her about a new foodie project I’m working on, so I checked out your sites. Let’s talk!
