Happy Valentine’s Day!

There’s still time to make something special for your loved one/s. If you haven’t done so already, try some spritz cookies, classic chocolate chip cookies or (best of all) handmade peanut butter truffles. You’ll be glad you did!

Whoopie Pies

This sinfully simple and unbelievably DELICIOUS recipe is another submission from my friend Tracie. When I opened her email, my jaw positively dropped. HOMEMADE WHOOPIE PIES!! OH MY GOOODNESSSS!! You see, my daughters are not just whoopie pie fans, they are WHOOPIE PIE FANATICS. We frequently buy them from an Amish stand at a local farmer’s market. And neither could the girls. These are by far the BEST whoopie pies any of us has tasted. A true Christmas gift!
Yields 9 pies.

My dear pal Natalie, aka CurlyWurlyGurly, confessed this is really her mother-in-law’s top-secret recipe.. but REALLY, who’s keeping track? Many thanks to them both for sharing.
Yields 32 bars.
