Another NYT article that couldn’t be more timely..

The Hard Sell on Salt.

Short but sweet article from The New York Times says it’s not meat itself, but the type of meat people are consuming which is leading to such poor health. Unprocessed red meat (i.e., ground beef or steak) has been unjustly vilified, when processed meats like sausage and bacon should be taking the blame. Very interesting stuff. Link below.

Don’t Bring Home the Bacon.

I’m starting to think salty processed food is akin to tobacco. Not that I’m advocating for Surgeon General warnings on snack food, but seriously - people are dying b/c they aren’t taking care of themselves. Should the government step in? Where do we draw the line? A thought provoking article.
