A refreshing new look!

Good morning everyone. I am happy to announce yesterday’s storm has passed and along with it my shoveling career. Far more exciting however is something you likely noticed right away — the NEW LOOK of The Daily Dish! I last upgraded the site in November 2008. That makeover was extensive; I switched from self coding to a completely new WordPress themed interface. But after two years, a girl gets tired of the same old dress. My husband and I have been planning the revamp for a while, but decided to wait until the new year. And here we are, finally! I couldn’t be more pleased. Green is my very favorite color, and the shade of the site matches that of my kitchen cabinets almost perfectly. So it’s like being in the kitchen even when I’m not! The new interface is much more user friendly too, and I don’t mean strictly easy on the eyes. Try typing a search term into the box at the top – chicken, fish, you name it. If the search term matches a post on the site, POOF! The entries are displayed in a chronologically indexed list, just like a magazine or cookbook. You can then easily scan down the list and see if anything grabs you. I hope you’ll play around with it and see what you think. I know change is hard and fans of the old site may be temporarily nonplussed. But give it a chance. I believe you’ll find it a much better fit, with a soothing style that really makes the photos POP. I’d love to get your feedback. Feel free to comment below – or, as always, you can contact me directly. See you tomorrow!
