wow reading your story sounds so much like mine , especially the part about suddenly driving feeling sick and getting out to walk and having to hurry back to the car , I too did not know what was happening to me , after being diagnosed with the dreaded menieres have you gotten any relief ?? Hi Sammy -

Sorry to hear you’ve not gotten relief. I cannot stress how helpful the salt-free diet has been for me, along with avoiding known triggers. Both have truly given me my life back.

      Wishing you all the best.

What other known triggers can you share?

        • Christy says:

          Hi Belle!

Apart from eating too much salt, the biggest trigger for me at this point can’t be controlled. Weather. Specifically, barometric pressure changes. My husband is constantly reminding me to record the exact specifics when an episode hits, so I can predict them (if at all). But the problem for me is – I GET SICK. And don’t want to do anything other than feel better. I had an episode 2 days ago – hit me out of the freaking blue. And it must have been the weather. Often when it goes from fair to foul or back again, I have a dizzy spell BAM! Out of nowhere. One minute fine, the next feeling like I’m falling down. It’s so awful. I just do my best to keep calm (and yes it is HARD) and just sit and rest. That alone is tough for me. Anyway – hope you are doing alright and staying positive.

Wishing you all the very best, Christy
