Banana Smoothies

Most people are too crazy busy in the morning to make breakfast, so they grab what they can on the run and later regret those empty calories. These low sodium smoothies take just five minutes to make and are incredibly delicious. Not to mention super healthy and filling – and best yet, won’t leave you in a mid-morning sugar crash & burn.

Yields four 10-oz. servings.

SODIUM CONTENT: 69.3 mg per serving

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 c. mashed banana (3 bananas, preferably organic)
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. Stonyfield Farm Organic Low Fat Banilla Yogurt (or Trader Joe’s Organic Low Fat Vanana Yogurt)
1/8 c. sugar
2 c. crushed ice

DIRECTIONS

Combine first four ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse briefly. Add ice and blend well. Serve immediately.
