Salad Greens with Oranges and Strawberries

This refreshing salad has the most fabulous dressing EVER! Recipe adapted from The New American Heart Association Cookbook.

Serves 4.



SODIUM CONTENT: 104 mg per serving

INGREDIENTS

DRESSING:
1/3 c. fresh orange juice
1 T. sugar
2 T. apple cider vinegar
1 T. Angostura low sodium soy sauce (sold in many supermarkets nationwide and online at the healthyheartmarket.com)
1 1/4 t. ground cumin
1/4 t. crushed red pepper flakes

SALAD:
6 c. mixed salad greens
1 c. strawberries, quartered
2 medium oranges, sectioned
1/2 c. thinly sliced red onion
3 T. slivered almonds

DIRECTIONS

In a small bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients until the sugar dissolves. In a large bowl, toss together the salad ingredients, except the almonds. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat. Sprinkle with almonds. Serve immediately.
