Trader Joe’s comes to PORTLAND!

Loyal readers of The Daily Dish have long known of my devotion to several things. WINE, yogurt, and a certain store, to name but a few. After more than 18 months of Trader Joe’s-less living here in Maine, I am elated beyond measure to announce my beloved’s come to town!!  Trader Joe’s long-awaited Portland store opens tomorrow, less than 10 minutes from my house.  I received my “free gift” coupon in the mail a few days ago, as well as Trader Joe’s Fearless Flyer (their specials circular – as fun as it is informative).  I am READY!!!  So much so that I drove there this morning just to stand outside and take a photo.

Those of you who have never experienced the pure pleasure that is shopping at Trader Joe’s may be wondering, “What the heck is so great about this store?” Let me tell you. If you are on a low sodium diet, AND you like good stuff, AND you are watching your wallet, then Trader Joe is gonna be your new best friend. Seriously. Every low-so devotee needs a stock of salt free food. And unless you are Midas, you want to buy this salt free stash as conveniently and cheaply as possible. Right? RIGHT! Friends, Trader Joe’s sells so much low sodium stuff it’ll make your head spin (no pun intended). And just because they really do care, they’ve assembled a list of all the low sodium products they sell. We’re not talking a few obscure canned goods. TJ’s low-so products list is 7 pages long with roughly 600 items at last count. To find the Trader Joe’s nearest you, click HERE.

OOooooohh!! See you TOMORROW, Joe!! XO

    Christy,
I should think you would put in an application for employment at Trader Joes. Being a huge fan you, above anyone, would be a GREAT employee; especially knowing their salt free products. I would think you would be a valuable employee for this organization.

Thanks Abbie! At present there’s “no room at the inn” (their employee roster’s full), but I appreciate the suggestion! I’ll just have to lurk around the store extra. HAH!
