The healthiest cake ever!

What could be better on a hot day than an ice cold dessert – and not just spooned into a bowl like an afterthought, but given center stage like it deserves! All you need is a watermelon for the “cake” and an assortment of fresh fruit to fancy it up. It’s so easy! Not to mention beautiful, creative, low in sodium and calories, fat-free, cholesterol-free, and chock full of vitamins and nutrients! Eat seconds, thirds, heck – eat the whole honking thing yourself. No worries!

      Thank you, Ping!! But between Engine 2’s idea, my daughters’ execution, and nature so kindly providing the bounty, credit belongs elsewhere. (Though I was more than happy to partake!)

  3. And then you could pour a boxed cake batter into the scooped-out watermelon rind and make a real cake! Or just forget the cake altogether and put a can of icing into the empty rind!
