Friends, meet my new cookbook!

The DASH Diet 30-Minute Cookbook by Adams Media.  In just a few weeks I should be finished the final edits, and from there it goes into publication, arriving online and in bookstores by early July.

This book is a revision of the Everything DASH Diet Cookbook, with an emphasis on speed, ease, and convenience.  Having read reviews of the last book, I made sure to exclude recipes with harder-to-find ingredients, focusing instead on everyday favorites that can be enjoyed again and again.  There are fewer recipes in this new book – just 175 – but all types of dishes are included, from breakfast, to soups and salads, sandwiches, main meals (both meat and veg), and of course desserts.  Of the 175 recipes, 30 are new; the remainder are favorites from the last book.  A fresh introduction explains the virtues of the DASH diet, the science behind it, and tips for a successful transition.

This project has been fun and hopefully will prove helpful, especially to those new to the DASH diet.  I will be offering a free giveaway this summer, as well as selling signed copies here on the site.  For diehard fans, copies of the DASH DIET 30-Minute Cookbook can be pre-ordered on Amazon.

I’ve written a second book to help make life easier for DASH dieters, not to double-dip.  If you already own the Everything book, wait for publication before purchase.  Thumb through and decide if the revised format and new recipes are worth the investment.    This is a new book – a good book!  But it is a revision.  That said, I’m really looking forward to its publication.  A fast, easy cookbook full of my favorite recipes?  Yes, please.  🙂

    So glad to find you my daughter was diagnosed with meniers and it has been quite a struggle. We have been to many Drs. no positive feedback from them. I told her about your website and ordered your book.
    she does not know anyone who has this awful disease. Lois White

      I’m so sorry to hear about our daughter. Hopefully the strict salt-free diet will work wonders on her symptoms. I know it gave me my life back, and continues to help many, many people. She is NOT alone! There are so many of us w. this invisible disease, and all of us understand what your daughter is going through. Stay strong. Sometimes just having someone hold your hand, tell you they’re there, and that you’re not alone is all it takes. Days can be bad, but there are plenty of bright, joyful, wonderful ones ahead as well. Just keep reminding her of that.

    Im trying to plan my meals and I would love to eat my way through your cookbook. Im trying to figure out how many servings of each food group are in each serving of the recipes. Can you offer any suggestions to figure that out? I do appreciate the breakdown of carbs, fats, proteins, etc., however. Thanks!

      Hi Kris! So glad you’re working your way through the book! Unfortunately I don’t have the food group breakdowns. It’s been a criticism of the book – and I’m sorry the publisher didn’t provide the information. I really hope you’re able to use and enjoy the recipes regardless, and wish you all the very best.
